Look what has just arrived, its a stunning house warming gift from my super talented aunt, Georgina Read. They say creativity is all in the genetics, I do think with my family this is the case...
This incredible and immense abstract charcoal drawing was one of the first in her new series, Drawing In Paint. She is currently working on the collection to exhibit later on in the year. The images are all super-sized, measuring approx. 2m/ 1.5m. They have a huge impact, and are perfect for a large wall in the home, feature wall of a restaurant or office space.
Auntie George initially studied film and TV at Ravensbourne College then started out her career in TV being one of the first Producers for Sky. Being painfully creative she decided on a career change in early 2000's and begain to study her first love, drawing and sculpture, at the prestigious Heatherley School of Fine Art, the oldest independent art school in London founded in 1845.
Georgina won the coveted Art Academy Brendan Kelly Drawing Prize in 2007 & now works in private and corporate collections in the UK and America.
