This year I have made and presented a selection of videos for the December issue of Red Magazine, you can find them online direct here, or follow the below instructions.
These simple to make tree ornaments look
fantastic in groups, so why not have a go at making your very own tree forest!
YOU WILL NEED
Papier-mâché cone shape or card stapled into cone
shape
Selection of seasonal ribbons from Jane Means
Glue gun
Large button for the top
METHOD
You can either cheaply buy these papier-mâché
cones from craft suppliers such as Craft Mill or make your own by making a cone
shape from a piece of A4 card and stapling into place. Cut away bottom so it
has a flat base for the tree to sit on.
Starting at the top of the cone, wrap the
ribbon around so the two sides slightly overlap, trim ends and glue into place.
Repeat this all the way down, the longer the ribbon becomes the more glue you
will have to add, making sure that the ribbon overlaps slightly so there are no
gaps between layers. Try to line up the cross overs at the back to keep the
tree looking neat.
Add a button on top of the tree and display
in groups.
