My Red Christmas; Envelope Calendar

This year I have made and presented a selection of videos for the December issue of Red Magazine, you can find them online direct here, or follow the below instructions.

This easy to make calendar, is great project to do with the kids to get them into the Christmas spirit. Decorate each envelope differently with paper cut outs, buttons and ribbons, every envelope can be filled with any treat you like, yum!

YOU WILL NEED
24 or 25 small C7 envelope’s, in red white and green
2 x sheets of white A4 card
Number stamps & ink, pen or printer
Scraps of patterned paper
Ribbons & trims
Festive shape punches, optional
1.5m – 2m length of ribbon, to hang
Mini pegs or paperclips

METHOD
Select 24 or 25 small envelopes in varying seasonal colours. (Depending if you want to go up to Christmas day or Christmas eve).

Using the white card as a base, you can either use a number stamp, hand write or print out your day numbers.

Decorate each envelope with different collage techniques such as paper cuttings, stickers, stamps, buttons and feathers decorate each day as you wish.

Measure where you want to hang the calendar, and cut a length of ribbon to size.

With miniature clothes pegs or paper clips, attach each day in order to your ribbon.

To finish fill each day with special treats.
