Bake a batch of rectangular shaped cookies using a recipe of your choice and allow to cool.
Roll out the white icing and using the template as a guide, cut out rectangular shapes to fit the top of the cookies. Paint the back with a little water then lay the icing centrally on top of the cookies.
Cut the remaining shapes out of red and blue icing, using the picture as a guide. Any overhanging icing can be cut off with a knife.
