The exclusive bloggers tea party held last thursday as set all fashion blogs alight and rightly so, the clothes are beautiful, high quality & super wearable & the colour palet is equisit. The brand aims to fill that awkward gap between the highstreet and the catwalk, which for me is a good place to be, think Whistles, All Saints & Reiss but nicer! POP BAKERY - cake pops!

I have just discovered this book today, I think I may be a late learner as Lisa from Hobbycraft mentioned how all the kids were loving cakes on sticks ages ago, and they heavily featured in the Faun (www.faun-uk.com) launch teaparty last Thursday! So I thought I had better look into this! They are amazing and super simple, if you arent that confident painting little faces onto russian dolls you can go for a simpler round lolly shape. The book Pop Bakery by Clare O'Connell takes you step by step through the process of making these treats, from Penguins to Skulls, they are incredibly innovative & attainable.

RUM & RAISIN TRUFFLE CAKE - Not for the Faint Hearted!

Mums birthday today so have no excuses not to go all out on the cake front! Thought this time I would give the party a little kick and go for this sumptuous Rum-Raisin truffle cake. This is a super rich raisin (soaked in rum) and walnut sponge, with vanilla cream center, rum frosting on the outside dusted with cocoa & to top it all off super lux rum truffles! Layered with yummyness - ooh!
