METHOD
Choose four different complimentary patterned papers. Cut them each into four squares; 6cm, 8cm, 10cm, and 12cm.
To form the tree fold the squares in half both ways, then diagonally both ways, making sure to make a firm crease.
Open out the square flat and fold in half with the pattern front side up. Now take the top two corners and push them inwards forming a triangle.
Lay the triangle flat on the table and taking the bottom corners fold them inwards to form a diamond shape, leaving the back shape still in a triangle. Add a blob of glue to the top point of the triangle and tuck each section into the next in ascending size. Repeat this method with all your squares.
Using a hole punch, make a hole at the top and thread through the ribbon. It is here you can cut out a little tag to write the persons name on, this can also be hole punched and added to the ribbon. Tie into a bow and attach to present.
