MUMS (belated) BIRTHDAY PAPERCUT

Here is the papercut I gave my mum this weekend for her ( belated) birthday present. It can now sit proudly with the one I made my dad last year. Its been a tough year for her but she has got through it fighting, and we had a fantastic party on Saturday to celebrate!! x

THREE WISHES FESTIVE NAME PLACES

So after a successful party yesterday here are my name place designs. I decided to get festive by decorating some old glass yoghurt pots ( which were a recycled gift for my recent birthday from my wonderfully creative next door neighbours!).

To set the scene all 16 of my guests were sat at the table by candle light and given a long match each. I then asked them to light the votive candle and make their first wish. Attached to the jar was a small cake sparkler which they lit from their candle for the second wish and the third wish was to pull a cracker.

DINNER PARTY NAME PLACE IDEA

I have been looking for an effective alternative to traditional name places for my dinner party this weekend. Thought this was beautiful idea, perhaps I could use old yoghurt jars or votive holders? I shall let you know how I get on... Pin It Now!
